        Program Focus

        The Le Cordon Bleu Schools aim to produce graduates with the professional skills necessary to pursue entry-level roles in food service and hospitality operations management. Theoretical and practical courses in this program cover topics including:

        • Hospitality business law
        • Food and beverage handling safety issues
        • Cost controls and basic accounting
        • Management concerns for the kitchen and dining environments

        • Wine studies

        Student Life

        At the schools of Le Cordon Bleu, students learn from experienced chef instructors in fully-equipped kitchen laboratories. At many Le Cordon Bleu campuses, restaurant and hospitality management students also have the opportunity to contribute to student-run cafes, restaurants, or pastry shops.

        When preparing to graduate, students can take advantage of our Career Services departments. All schools have dedicated Career Services staff members who aim to help culinary arts students identify, clarify, and pursue their academic and professional goals.

        Catering Services
        Catering services are required in hotels and convention centers. Duties within catering services may range from providing table service to the coordination of schedules, supplies, and staff.

        • Education required: Certificate or associate’s degree.
        • Where Catering Services Are Needed: Convention centers, hotels, wedding venues (such as country clubs), corporate offices.
