Accreditation
Harrington College of Design is regionally accredited by The Higher Learning Commission (HLC) of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools to award certificates, diplomas, associate’s degrees, bachelor’s degrees and master’s degrees. HLC is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a reliable authority regarding the quality of education or training offered by the institutions it accredits. Harrington’s Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design Program is accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA), formerly FIDER.
The Associate of Applied Science Degree in Interior Design is not Council for Interior Design Accreditation accredited.
The Associate of Applied Science Degree in Interior Design contains less than 30 semester credit hours of general education courses and therefore does not meet the qualifications to be considered for accreditation by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation.
