In our fashion design programs, students tackle all the skills involved in planning and constructing garments and fashion accessories. Additionally, business-related topics such as merchandising, publicity, and marketing are covered.

Course topics include:

• Pattern drafting
• Textile design
• Draping and construction
• Trend forecasting
• Marketing and consumer behavior

Our fashion program emphasizes project- and team-based learning that reflects the real-world working environment. Many of our instructors have professional industry experience, and students use industry-current tools, software, and equipment. Internship opportunities and portfolio development are also an important part of many programs. Some schools also present a yearly fashion show featuring student designs.

Students both online and on-campus can take advantage of our Career Services departments. All schools have a dedicated Career Services staff that aims to help design students identify, clarify, and pursue their academic and professional goals.

Finally, our schools’ Alumni Associations offer additional opportunities for students and graduates to make important connections—professional and personal.

Fashion Design
Fashion design is the process of conceiving, prototyping, and creating footwear, apparel, and fashion accessories.
